Joe's and Black Label Booking are proud to announce the The Circle Sessions. This monthly acoustic session will feature some of the best songwriters straight from Nashville playing in-the-round. These songwriters get to do what they love for a living - write songs. And not just any songs - they write the songs that that go to the top of the Billboard charts, win Grammy’s, CMA’s and ACM’s. These are the guys that are making it happen behind the scene.
What does playing in-the-round mean?
Country music has always been about the story and the song and this is exactly where the series finds its genesis - in story and song.
In-the-rounds create a unique space where the songwriters find themselves in the literal heart of the audience. The nature of the event brings the evening beyond a mere showcase of song to an opportunity for the songwriters to tell the story of the song's creation.
One of the key aspects of the evening is the room's set-up. To foster an intimate space where the heart of the song can be unleashed, the songwriters sit in-the-round with the audience sitting around them. The songwriters rotate through the round sharing stories, joking and playing hits they've written, adding a new dimension to the song for those listening.
