On June 29th, 2011, Joe's on Weed St & Black Label Booking presented the inaugural edition of The Circle Sessions. We were lucky enough to feature writers whose hits have spanned two decades - Mark Irwin, Shane McAnally, Brandy Clark & Andrew Dorff. Mark closed his part of the evening with this classic Alan Jackson song which he wrote some twenty years ago. You can find this song listed in ASCAP's Top 50 Most Played Songs On Country Radio In The 90's, Music City News Song of the Year, NSAI Song of the Year, CMA Song of the Year nomination two years in a row and covered by a number of historic country artists from George Jones to Steve Earle (Steve performed it at the ASCAP awards this past year). On June 29th, 2011, Joe's on Weed Street & Black Label Booking presented the inaugural edition of The Circle Sessions. We were lucky enough to feature Mark Irwin, Brandy Clark, Shane McAnally & Andrew Dorff. The night was special in so many ways and this seemed to be the perfect close - Andrew performed "Bleed Red" which he co-wrote with Tommy Lee James and was recorded/made famous by Ronnie Dunn as his first single as a solo artist. We hope you enjoy this heartfelt and moving delivery of a what's sure to be a modern classic.

Dierks Bentley – Fastback

This is a great new song from Dierks Bentley. It has yet to be released but will be coming out on his newest album. Looks like a new fan-favorite written by Mark Irwin (June Circle Sessions performer), Josh Kear & Chris Tompkins. Hopefully we'll see these guys in a round later in the year and get to hear the song how it was written. Till then, enjoy this video!

Billy Ray Cyrus – Runway Lights

This is a great acoustic performance on The View of the new single coming from Billy Ray, co-written by Mark Irwin (6/29 performer at The Circle Sessions) with Josh Kear and Jameson Clark. This song will act as the theme song to Billy Ray's next television series, "Surprise Homecomings," on TLC.
