Daniel Cotter is a “hands on” senior legal leader with more than 13.5 years of in-house experience at large, multinational public companies. Mr. Cotter is accomplished in leading and managing by example and successfully implementing complex business transactions and plans. His wide breadth of experience working in-house coupled with his CPA designation creates a unique skillset. Because of this unique blend, he understands the pressures of in-house counsel on costs and providing efficient services and supports the Client’s interests effectively while keeping those pressures in mind.
In addition to being a leader in the legal field, Dan’s big heart and philanthropic inclinations have spurred him to be a leader in many non-profits, such as: Abraham Marovitz Lawyers Lend-A-Hand program, Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago, Lifting To Lend-A-Hand, chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association, Chicago Bar Foundation, and a number of other significant organizations.
Michael Abramson has been practicing law since 2007. Prior to co-founding Cotter & Abramson Law Offices, LLC, Mike worked in-house for a Fortune100 company and for a boutique firm. Mike’s current practice focuses on entertainment law, contract negotiation, intellectual property law, working with start-ups and other entrepreneurs, as well as general insurance defense work. In addition to co-founding Black Label Booking, LLC, and Cotter & Abramson Law Offices, LLC, Mike co-founded Elements[Chicago], which serves as a thought leadership gathering to create conversations around ideas that matter. Elements has hosted everyone from Jeff Shinabarger (of GiftCardGiver & Plywood People) to Soledad O’Brien (CNN anchor).
Much like Dan, Mike’s heart is in the betterment of community and serves both on the board of a number of non-profits and in regular volunteer responsibilities.
